When he arrives he sees the car is in fact stuck on the traffic island. All four (4) wheels are off the ground. The engine is running. There is only one person in the car and he is driving!

On the third of July 1987, I am sworn in a police officer in the Queensland Police Force. On the very same day, the Queensland government announces that it is launching the biggest royal commission into police and government corruption in Queensland and perhaps Australia’s history.
I notice the look on the defendant face change to one of confusion. I see the defence solicitor out of the corner of my eye also look weirdly at me. I still haven’t realised that I’ve picked up the carafe.
Being a leader is not all about changing the world. Being a leader is about changing your understanding of leading.
So there I am, cruising along, feeling the wind whip past me on the open road. I rather deftly pull into the servo, turn off the ignition, dismount and commence filling up the bike. Living the dream! I finish refuelling and go in to pay the cashier. In those days, bike riders didn’t have to remove their helmets. I pay for the fuel (all $5) and walk back to my mighty red steed. For all the definitions of creativity and innovation that abound, from an organic perspective, creativity is the art of conception. Innovation is the art of successful gestation. Scott Berkun goes on to suggest that the best definition of innovation is significant positive change. When we create we are looking for the original, the new. When we innovate we want to put these new and original ideas into place.
